My s60 driver's side mirror released from its plate.. When I called my shop they said to bring it in. The mirror was actually perfectly fine, it luckily landed on the grass when I was exiting the vehicle.
The shop wanted to charge 65 labor plus shop supply. I said, can you just recommend the adhesion used to re attach . They declined. So while I may sound frugal, I'm looking for an adhesion that endures the cold temps as that is what caused this to release from it's inset. . Suggestions welcomed!
Given that it's January, check if the glue needs mild temperatures to cure properly - if so, do that in a heated garage or remove the mounting plate from the car and bring the plate and mirror inside to glue them together.
