.SHORT TERM /6 PM THIS EVENING THROUGH THURSDAY/...

MAIN ENERGY AND LIFT ASSOCIATED WITH THE SURFACE LOW AND UPPER TROUGH TRACKING ALONG THE INTL BORDER LOOKS TO STAY NORTH OF THE REGION UNTIL WEDNESDAY
NIGHT WHEN IT DROPS SOUTHEASTWARD THROUGH CENTRAL AND SOUTHERN
NEW ENGLAND. FEEL THIS WILL BE OUR BEST CHANCE FOR PRECIP WHICH
WILL START AS RAIN...BUT TRANSITION SNOW OVERNIGHT PER THERMAL
PROFILES OF FORECAST SOUNDINGS. WITH AMPLE LOW LEVEL MOISTURE AND
SURFACE/UPPER FLOW TURNING TO THE NORTHWEST...FEEL THERE`S GOOD
SUPPORT FOR ENHANCED PRECIP ALONG THE WESTERN SLOPES OF THE GREEN
MOUNTAINS AS WELL. COULD BE LOOKING AT A COUPLE OF INCHES OF
ACCUMULATION BY THURSDAY MORNING ABOVE 1500 FT...WITH ONLY A
DUSTING TO MAYBE AN INCH AT THE VALLEY FLOOR. UPSLOPE SNOWS CONTINUE
GOING INTO THURSDAY MORNING
BUT THE TREND WILL BE TOWARDS DRIER
CONDITIONS THROUGH THE DAY AS AN UPPER RIDGE APPROACHES FROM THE
WEST.

You're welcome. I enjoy doing it. Thanks. I try not to flood the thread with posts (like the CT weather thread) because there's so much to say, so I pick and choose I guess.

Its just a hobby of mine but a true passion for it.

Heres the latest NAM12z . Nothing for VT now but has .77" qpf for parts of Maine. 7-8" of snow locally for Waldo County, Maine.

Welcome to reality folks, the current weather is pretty typical of early spring. The weekend, if it holds, looks to be a nice day for some spring sking. One positive is it's easier riding the ridges of a muddy road when are stiff vs mushy.

Apparently models want it to snow to coast but miss northern states. Imagine that snow south of VT in April!

Just posted on the latest model run. Link goes to post direct. www.city-data.com/forum/23600645-post4751.html

All I know is that it was freezing cold today with a steady wind. Wouldn't have given it a second thought a month ago, but after that 80 degree weather, it just hits you all the harder. Always appreciate your weather info, Cambium!
