I know this cannot be a new topic by any means. My partner and I are looking to move from Utah, but my vote is in for a place kind of like it. We aren't Mormon, but I've lived here a good chunk of my life. We spent a couple of years in Austin, TX but the heat is the heat. So somewhere that has four seasons and isn't off-the-wall expensive. Other than that, we don't require too much. I love the huge opportunities here for outdoor activities, and that trait wouldn't hurt much either. We don't mind small town living or city living for that matter. When I was younger I was a military brat who just kind of took to where I was placed. Anyway, any ideas are welcome. We have the means to move, we just need to know what could possibly be a good fit. Thank you to everyone in advance

Park City is pretty awesome if you want to be close to the outdoors all the time.

Don't know how close to actual mountains but I have a friend in Ft. Collins, Colo, who just loves it.

I prefer Colorado Springs to Denver, cleaner and better scenery.

PS Sorry OP, I thought you said TO not FROM. My bad.

You committed no Fau Pas sp2007, many people consider Park City to be on sort of neutral or independent soil, kind of like an International Airport or Foreign Consulate. So going there can be akin to moving out of Utah.

I don't know whether this is a good or bad thing, however.

Parts of Colorado (as mentioned), Montana (just east or west of the divide), Idaho (southeast or north), Wyoming (north central), and maybe some of the mountainous areas of New Mexico.

As for Park City: yeah, it seems more like California or Maui in price to me--raving lunatic expensive!

Default 2nd for Boise

I second Boise, ID. Beautiful, 4 distinct seasons, not off-the-wall expensive
