Little Rock. Terra cotta building left center is the Peabody, and the tallest building is the Simmons Building, formerly the TCBY building. (Used to live in Arkansas.)
So, Sluggo, is it worth one's while to travel in the Ozarks or the Ouachitas? And how did you like Little Rock? Anyway - your turn!
The Ozarks and Ouachitas are nice in the fall. Not like New England or Michigan, but rolling hills with a lot of foliage. Mount Magazine, the highest point in Arkansas, is an easy drive from Little Rock, and has a road that drives all the way to the top. "The Rock" is OK, I first visited in 1986 the nearby AFB when they were just finishing the TCBY building, and stayed at the Peabody before I deployed to Southwest Asia when I lived in Fort Smith in the early 2000s. Nice marketplace and revitalized downtown. Hot Springs is definitely worth a visit, and if you want a college town vibe, Fayetteville has that.
Here's the next one.
