I realize many of them are of Cumbrian and Geordie descent too, but would you consider the "Ulster Scots" people culturally and ethnically Scottish first and foremost? Or are they still Irish but a "different" Irish people than the Catholic Irish?

The whole issue of identity seems quite complicated there.

Another question - do Catholic Northern Irish view themselves as being British as well as Irish?
