Of course speaking in generalities, since people are individuals and will relate with others individually (hopefully), but I'm wondering how these three nationalities get a long. Do the Scottish seem to ally more with England (same nation, historic ties) or the Irish (Gaelic connection)? I wonder if the troubles in Northern Ireland would have anything to do. Are Scots and Irish pretty friendly? How do the Irish view Scotland?
What about the Welsh? Do they tend to have a good view of Scotland? What about Ireland? And vice versa...do some Irish look down upon them because they aren't independent?
I don't think majority of people concern themselves too much about it perhaps a bit of banter here and there just like Sydney and Melbourne. You know what that is like.

There will always be a history between England and the rest of the UK, and general banter and jokes will always be there. That said, for the most part, we all get along fine. I have friends from all corners of the UK (despite living in the US now) and we will constantly throw jokes out at each other. Such as the Welsh and sheep as mentioned by above post good natured and taken with a grain of salt.
There will always be some idiots at soccer games and the like, but we try to ignore them.
Speaking for myself, I do think that a lot of Welsh would prefer their independence, but I have not lived there for a while and am not sure how much things have changed.
There could be a whole other topic on how things have changed in the past 10 years.....
