Just wondering if anyone had any experience with a pet psychic. I did last year, and still think about the whole experience.
The place I lived prior to the one I am living now was a mess, and to use the dryer I had to open a window and put the dryer house outside, of course there was no screen. I always doubled checked to make sure the door was closed so my kitties didn't go outside. Well, one night I must have not gotten it all the way latched because about an hour later I went to get the clothes and the door was cracked open and both kitties gone. It was about 11pm at night.
I panicked of course because they were inside kitties. About 2:30am I found my female cat Bella had returned to the house and was hiding under the oil tank outside the window they escaped through. I got her inside, she was fine.
My boy kitty, Bubba, no sight of him. I put signs, ads, etc. No neighbors even saw him for days. I contacted pet psychic and she described the back of our shed to the smallest details of what was outside next to it. She said Bubba was attacked by either a fox or raccoon. (I didn't find out till after he went missing that neighbor had seen a fox on several occasions in her field.. I knew there was a family of raccoons living on the property because I saw Mom with her babies sitting along the driveway one night when I came home late). That he got very sick and vomited and then passed out and never woke up again.
I never found his body, I don't know if the fox or raccoon dragged it off. He was a big cat, around 10lbs.
The psychic said that he had visited with me. And, I had kind of "felt" him with me for a few days after he disappeared when I was "sleeping" (no sleep to be had for days) in the room next to the window he escaped from. Recently the year anniversary of this passed, and it got me thinking about it again.
Any other experiences with pet psychics out there?
There is another discussion someplace, thought it was here, but maybe it's in the Pet forum. Could not find it, but searching on my phone is a pain.
Several accounts of pet psychics in that discussion.
I contacted one by phone once, I had a dog who had witnessed the murder of it's owner, who I was with at the time. I had my own ideas about what had happened, but not all that much and wanted to fill in the gaps. I told her nothing other than he had been murdered, but with no body, he was just a 'missing person'. She was able to confirm he was gone, but through connecting with the dog, she was able to 'see' and 'smell' the events. She knew that whiskey was involved, that a card game was being played and that money was involved.
Funny thing was she first asked me if my dog like popcorn because she smelled popcorn. Well, the dog would eat just about anything, but what I knew about popcorn was that was what my dogs feet smelled like.
The one time I consulted a psychic about a pet was the only reading I had that was completely wrong. Actually, she was a medium.
When my cat, Rascal, went missing, I felt in my bones that he was gone for good. The first night after he was missing, I woke up because my other cat, Button, was coughing. I sat up and saw her lying on the floor, and then I laid back down. Shortly after, I felt Button jump on the bed and walk up the center, heading to her cat bed next to me. Except, when I looked, she wasn't there; she was still on the floor.
This type of thing happened several times over the next few nights. Button would be asleep next to me and I'd feel a cat jump on the bed and walk around or knead the mattress. One time, I felt like he curled up next to me. I was happy and freaked out at the same time.
After a while, I talked to a medium who startled me by saying he wasn't dead and that he would return in nine days. I asked her ... "Then who is the invisible cat jumping on my bed at night?" She said she didn't know, but insisted he would be back. I couldn't understand this. Then I asked her if my deceased grandmother had anything to say and she said ... "No, she doesn't have anything to say except 'Don't worry about the cat.' I wonder why she said that?"
I said ... "Because I asked her to take care of Rascal."
Needless to say, Rascal never came back. He continued to visit for a while and then it slowed down. One day I was feeling sadder than usual and was crying over him. That night in bed, I heard LOUD purring all around me; not from any one direction. I think he was trying to comfort me.
It's been over a year since his death. He doesn't visit anymore, but I consider that a good sign that he's settled in on the other side. Maybe he'll come back to me as a kitten later.
That's the one instance where my feelings about what happened were already super strong and I was getting visits, so I should have skipped the medium. Usually, I have good experiences with psychics, but I didn't need one then.

Sorry to hear about your Rascal. It's been over a year since my Bubba has passed and I have not felt him for a long time. I probably could have skipped the psychic also, I thought it would have helped bring some closure but it really didn't. I still feel guilty over the situation.
Shortly after this I adopted a new kitty from a rescue, he had been tossed along the roadside with his brother. I originally went to adopt the brother, but when I went to see them this guy crawled right up into my lap and started to purr. I adopted him on the spot.
It's not Bubba by any means as Bubba was still alive when this guy was born, but I felt like Bubba somehow made it happen. It was like he wanted to make sure I was ok.
About 3 months after I adopted Leo, I was filming him and Bella playing together. Well in the video Bella runs behind the couch Leo was chasing her, but he stops for a second and this white orb flashes around him and goes behind the couch and then Leo follows.
It's crazy and I think I must have watched it a million times trying to figure it out. I think maybe Bubba was paying a little visit. That was the last time I had any experiences.
Well anything is possiblle so I'll go with what you cited, just I believe my dogs see thhat "spirits" that inhabit my,and my parents homes.you gotta see it to believe it but it just like dogs "playing with one another" but there is "one' you can't see, in my opinion anyway.
