OK. I have several decks of cards (Tarot) and I was not aware that a card was missing but this card turned up under a cushion in my sofa when I was vacuuming.
I know that when a card falls out of a deck that it's very significant and often shows up in the reading.
So, I found the 8 of wands, which loosely I know signifies communication, swift change, travel, messages, conversation, moving forward.
The fact that I found the card today makes it even more significant to me.
What do you make of it? I was surprised to find it under the cushion, but hey, stuff like this happens to me all the time so I was not that surprised.
I would say that since your finding it today is significant because of some event in your life that it relates to, that it's appearance is just saying 'all is as it is to be'. A confirmation of the events related. If you can recall what you had been thinking about right before you found it, the card would apply to that.
I wasn't thinking about anything exactly. But this day I am thinking a lot about a house that I was to buy. Doors to other homes continue to close and we saw another house this morning and it wasn't what we wanted.
So it's back to that house. I read some where that 8s have to do with the home, and coming full circle.

Could it be about the house?
It could simply mean nothing more than losing a card in the sofa cushion.
You're more from the school of Jung thinking, I am too.
8 of Wands can mean haste and great hope. Slow down, invision the house you want in your mind, have patience and believe it will come to you.

If the card had been a pentacle or sword card, it would be more about the house specifically. Meaning Pentacles refer to material and physical possessions as well as work and skill, Swords would be the discussions and signing of a contact.
Wands as a suit is one of creative energy. So that goes along with 'creating' the dream home, through manifestation, using your 'life force' and connection to the Universe to bring the perfect home into your view.
So it's not THAT house, it's about your mission to find a house.
I spent a couple of years learning the tarot with a good tutor, but I now try to be more natural about the whole thing. Of course, this is a personal choice, but I feel that I will not always have the tools (whatever they happen to be at the time) with me when I am in need of some guidance, so I try not to use this kind of thing.
Thinking about more down-to-earth reasons for the card being where you found it, do you have kids or anyone else in the house who may have got them out and been looking at them out of curiosity? We can often read too much meaning into coincidences and although I do believe that all things are connected, I am not sure most of us can properly interpret the way the universe hangs together, let alone understand the "science" behind it all.
Of course, the Tarot are an interest as well as a divining tool, and not only that, for some of us they provide a method of social interaction because people are always curious of their future.
A highly unnessisary and disrespectful post.
Since the OP is touching on synchronicity with the timing in finding this card, we venture into the Jung concept of synchronicity...
I doubt that Jung's ideas would have gotten the attention and notoriety they did if it was so asinine.
Thank you. There are many topics and threads about which I don't agree, or have nothing to add. Sometimes I think the topic is silly, and other times insane, or weird.
So what do I do? I stay away and post when I have something to add to a post that interests me.

Or perhaps both.
