I suddenly lost my full-time job end of October and applied for unemployment. As I also had the option to file for Social Security I did that as well...reluctantly. I took a lump sum payment of my delayed credits (for not having filed at 66) and received that check 11/15, which also included my "regular" first SS check.

This morning I applied online for my second unemployment check and marked off all the standard questions about did you work etc. and clicked 'no' on the was there "other income" question as I had done previously, then submitted the claim.
I completely forgot about that SS check, as it was my very first and the 'other income' question on the form does not list specifically "Social Security" so it didn't come to mind.

I know getting SS does not preclude one from receiving unemployment benefits...but should I call anyone at Tele-Center tomorrow about this, or just let it go??

I don't want to unnecessarily "flag" my account for extra scrutiny....

Thanks!

If SS doesn't count against you in your state, then let it go. I don't think any state counts SS anymore.
