Unfortunately, this is not handled in the normal unemployment process so the time to hear from them could be any day or weeks from now.

UPDATE: So I never got a phone call from anyone. Called regular UI today. Was told a letter was mailed out today and to continue claiming in my normal manner. Expecting bad news since no money has been released. Time for some appealing!

You can;t read anything into this. Unemployment is not a single stream process, it works on multiple lines with one never knowing what the other is doing.

You see this during an appeal where a person knows they won but it can take weeks for the money to flow because the section that pays out can't do anything until they get approval from the processing people who can't do anything until they get the approval from the appeals section which can't do anything until they get the written decision from the ALJ, who can't write the decision until all boxes on their form is checked.

So, it's anyone's guess until you actually get the papers in hand.

Great! Can't wait to deal with all that, lol. I guess I am just expecting the worst at this point so I am not totally caught off guard. I do plan on fighting tooth and nail, though, if they harshly punished me.

It's a good learning experience. When this is over, you'll be the smartest guy on here about how not having a work search requirement works in practice in NY.

I do find it odd that I never got a call from the investigator. Not sure how to interpret that one. i explained myself fairly well on my form, but thought for sure he would have more questions for me. Maybe it is just an automatic, " He ignored the warning, DQ."

NY may have felt the WiFi/phone explanation was sufficient. Thus, no call. NY usually isn't too bad - and does read the replies. If you're lucky, whomever read your response was in a good mood.

That's what I'm hoping for. Should have the letter tomorrow or Monday. Nervous. The reason I think it is bad news is because no money has been released on my claim whatsoever still. Thoughts?

What weeks do they owe you for? Your issues are with weeks ending 1/03 and 1/10, are they not? Week ending 1/17 just passed. That would be the only week NY would paying at this point. Might be too soon for that, depending on when decision data was entered and went through channels.
