I am about to run out of my initial unemployment benefit of $562 (the maximum benefit). How much will I receive on Teir I EUC?

NJ's maximum benefit is $624.

Your WBA of $562 will be reduced to $437.

Weekly benefit amounts will be reduced by approximately 22.2%, rounded down to the whole dollar. Click here for Federal Reduction Reference Guide.

Gotta learn to use Google. Search using "nj sequester unemployment. " First link goes right to NJ webpage on the subject.

I've bookmarked many links to NJ and other websites, but I still use Google first because it's faster than sifting through my bookmarks.

Once you run out of initial unemployment benefits, how long before the EUC Tier kicks in?

In NJ, usually right away. Claim as usual. If you are claiming weekly, Tier 1 may not be available until after you receive a letter from NJ, but system will tell you if they can't pay right away. If you are claiming biweekly, there shouldn't be a delay.
