Yeah - my husband and I talked about that too - the smoking thing. Everyone smokes, ashtrays all over the damn place - but you NEVER see GR smoking! I don't think he smokes. He's into fitness, somewhat.

I am pretty much speechless at this point. The show was kind of boring, not much drama, and ... well ... basically, I guess I did so much ranting during the season that I'm all "ranted out"! However, I will say that Dana's a Donkey!!! WTH - Christina is in charge of her kitchen, she wants things cooked a certain way, and Dana decides to argue with her about "no, it's fine - there's nothing wrong with the fish". DUDE - JUST DO WHAT YOU'RE TOLD AND MAKE SOME NEW FISH!!!!! Christina should have tossed her out of the kitchen. In real life, you argue with your boss when they tell you to do something, you're toast!

I too miss the dining room makeover, but they haven't had it for a few seasons now. It probably cost the show too much, and being in a bad economy and all ...

I really hope next season is better. I like some of the drama - it gets this donkey-cow all riled up. But it would be nice if we had some drama - enough to get my dander up - but the show had people who could actually cook ... people who DO know their ass from a hole in the ground!!! Oh - and also maybe throw in a few NON-smokers! Oh yeah, and maybe a few people who, when they have those cameo clips of them bragging and showing what arrogant morons they are, they can actually back up what it is they are bragging about!!!

As much as I hate to say it, or even bear the thought, you know what would have made this season more interesting??? Do ya??? Huh??? Do ya??? Bum lookers ... cheeky monkeys ... ??? If when they brought back the ghosts (donkeys) from seasons past, they brought back ELISE!!!!!! Maybe even Sabrina! Then, if either of those two ghetto witches got into it with Kimmie, Tiffany, and Robyn!!!!!

And WTH is up with Clemenza??? Throughout the entire show, every time he was interviewed, it was all about HIM and how muey fabuloso he is and he knows what he's doing and he should be one of the final two, yada yada yada, ad infinitum, ad nauseum!!! DUDE! YOU AINT "ALL THAT"!!!!!

Well, I guess I FOUND stuff to rant about. So there - - you have your manuscript from good 'ol Donkey Toes!!! (See - I never disappoint!) (What-ever!!!)

BTW, was Hotel Hell on this week? I didn't see it in my DVR list.

OH!!!!! And don't forget, you bunch of silly cows ----- Kitchen Nightmares comes back September 28th (I think). It's on a Friday, which is WAY COOL (DUDE!) because I'm home on Friday night!!!!! (That's how you know you're getting old ... when you're home on a Friday night watching TV instead of getting all gussied up to go out on a date or go out clubbing [nightclubbing - not baby seal clubbing] with your 'crew').

Well ... I guess that's it for now, Donks. I'm sure I'll see most, if not all of you cows in Hotel Hell and Kitchen Nightmares threads. Probably Master Chef, if I start watching the show and have something I can rant about in a rambling, incoherent, long-winded post .... like this one! I think Master Chef had its finale already, so I can start watching it next season - like having a "clean slate".

Ok, so ..... LATER B**CHES!!!!!

Maybe they were the smartest. Sometimes loud people have little substance.

Here's my biggest thing; why does every single contestant - every season - smoke? No wonder they suck at the taste/palate test! Smoking kills your sense of taste. I'm shocked by that, and surprised Ramsay does say something or find non-smokers.
Thank you. Good point. I know no one who smokes now.

Default Hell's kitchen.

For the longest time, I didn't watch this show because of Gordon Ramsay's foul mouth. However, I actually did watch all the episodes on Hulu and I was surprised. I know it's scripted and made to look as insane as possible to be part of the "Reality TV" phenomenon, but still... I liked it.

I liked his other shows, too. Top Chef, etc. Which I kind of find amazing. I belive if you have to swear all the time, it shows a lack of culture and a limited vocabulary. I guess it's for shock value. Whatever. Wish he could tone it a down a bit. I think the show would be just as enjoyable without the constant stream of profanity.

That man knows how to cook.

When I was in the seafood buz and selling to food service (restaurants) I/we had more than one
chef-customer that would be as bad or worse then Ramsay....to say the least.
Some of the chef's are real primadonnas(sp).
