Adam's smile, quietness and modest answers do remind me of Elvis when he first started. Are any of you old enough to remember Elvis when he appeared on the Ed Sullivan show?
No, that I don't remember, but I've seen that clip of Elvis on Ed Sullivan's. It's nice to know that Adam reminds you of the early Elvis.

Should be interesting to see how Fox handles all the upset fans because the show went over and so many people missed Adam. I bet they've received a ton of emails today.
it seems like it is almost a given that Adam will win. Why put the rest of the contestants through the rest of the season?
I've been saying this since the Black and White, and The Ring of Fire. But the show needs to make its millions. That's why this year seems so manipulated - cameras off Adam, putting him last to perform, overboard praise of Danny...

I agree with FarNorthDallas on this - today, it would be fair to all the millions of viewers if the judges delivered their full judgement of Adam which they didn't have time to do yesterday.
I was really mad when I went to watch and adam's entire performance was not recorded! they waste soooooo much time on that show! I cannot believe that they could do such a disservice to a contestant. I knew that I would be able to find a good link to be able to see it just by checking this posting! I thought he did a great job, but two thumbs down to the AI producers for such a big screw up!
I think of people who don't get Adam as - there were some people who didn't get Elvis, neither, in his early days. (Not likening Adam to Elvis, because he's not going to be him, but people's getting/not getting in both singers' early days).

We had to put up a really good argument so our parents would let us watch and then they only showed his top half. Today, Elvis is still one of my mom's favorites.

My mom too. She saw him in concert when he was just starting, she was quite the rebel then and evidently my grandparents were appalled. LOL She said pretty much the same thing you did earlier about Adam reminding her of Elvis in his younger years.
