Huh? Not to argue, EmerysMommy, but those last four pictures can easily be confused with any place in OKC. Howver, all images I see of Oklahoma make me miss home.

Did she specify my previous four pictures? How about the pictures of the ballpark which include photos of the Williams Tower? Could THAT be misinterpreted for OKC?

I'm guessing that if they were pictures of OKC, I'd put then on that forum. Of course I haven't been there in five years. If you don't like someone's opinion of OKC, don't read the TULSA forum...LOL. It's like asking Chiefs fan to visit the Raiders forum for an opinion of the Chiefs. Haha.

I should of specified- I meant ALL the pictures in general, not just the last few. Tulsa wins hands down in terms of *natural scenery* and I miss that. I've grown to appreciate Okc's open plains but I miss the hills and greenery.

okcpulse seems like a nice guy but gets kind of hyper about OKC. From his post this week you can tell he is not a Tulsa fan. Oklahoma is pretty lucky that it has two cities that are close to the same size and that they are so uniquely different. Both have their good and bad points and both are moving in a direction to where they have more good points than bad. When someone makes positive comment about Tulsa they are not attaching OKC.

Tulsa certainly has plenty of natural scenery. And yes, I did think you meant only the last few. My mistake.

I think Oklahoma has the best of both worlds.

I am not a fan of Tulsa's city government. They are holding Tulsa back, and I hold them responsible for the donut development happening in the Tulsa MSA. If I had my way i'd clean house with city officials.

The city is beautiful in and of itself but it's full potential has yet to be realized. Besides, one of my favorite skyscrapers in Oklahoma is in Tulsa... Mid-Continent Tower.

I agree with you there...while Tulsa is a beautiful city, living in Okc right now is so much more exciting with all the changes going on downtown. I can't wait to see what this city looks like in 10-15 yrs.

And I am done comparing Okc to Tulsa...lol

I'd love to recall the mayor AND purge the council and actually there has been talk of it. That being said, there is a push to get an initiative on the ballot in February to vote to change the type of goverment to restrict the Mayor's power. I think a strong Mayor form of government (which Tulsa has) invites the GOBN mentality. ESPECIALLY in Oklahoma (can anyone here remember the Oklahoma counties commisioners scandal?)

Photos of the hockey game from last Friday at the BOK Center..I had floor/event access, so the first and third periods I took photos from the area between the player benches. That's always a hoot...and a little dangerous, as no glass is there and completely open to the ice. You have to be very cognizant of the play going on around you. Those who have perused this thread know the last two seasons I took MANY hockey photos. Not so much this season as I needed to reduce my expenses, so I changed seats to save me about $300 for a season ticket. I do have friends with media access who will on occasion let me tag along. This is one of those occasions

You can find the entire set from this game (77 photos) at 2010-12-10 Tulsa Oilers vs Texas Brahmas - a set on Flickr (http://www.flickr.com/photos/oilerfan/sets/72157625573925828/with/5251702474/ - broken link)
