Took a few more last night right around sunset and just before a line of thunderstorms was heading in from the north.

These are geotagged, but for others, these were taken from the old Ford dealership just east of the Admiral Twin Drive-In at Memorial and I-244. Full set can be found at:

Some of these are grainy because I left the camera on auto ISO and it set it pretty much to every photo at 1600. I'm still getting a feel for low light photography.

Gorgeous. Nobody puts on a more spectacular display than mother nature. Oklahoma has some of the most beautiful sunsets.

More photos..took these later in the evening. It was still about 97 when I got out. Took the first 20 or so from Turkey Mountain (these are geotagged, so if you visit Flickr you can see where I took the photos) and the last ones are from the River Festival Park. Here are a few:

The entire set is at:

It's not very often the sky is that colorful for a sunset..now tomorrow it might be depending on how cool it gets. It's just after 1am now and it's already down to 51 here.

I think sunsets are that beautiful or more so on a regular basis around here. Maybe you guys in Tulsa don't notice them as much because you have more trees to block your view while driving around. Here in Lawton I notice them all the time driving to the West side Wal-Mart. Good views of the Wichita Mountains and some of the best sunsets I've seen anywhere.

I went on vacation this year to the Gulf Coast and was really looking forward to the sunsets. But I have to be honest they are more beautiful back home. You just have to find a spot where you can get a good panoramic view. The beach areas are known for sunsets because there are unobstructed views abound. I still think ours are better maybe due to our interesting cloud formations, I don't know. But they are. Just under-appreciated because we spend our time inside. Those outdoors people around here know what I'm talking about though...

Hockey season is back upon us.

Here are some photos from last Tuesday.

We'll start with Fenderman's favorite Tulsa icon...
