Sure is! If I'm gonna drive half of the way, why in the darn world would I want to ride the bus for the rest of the trip?!

My guess is that there are those dear ones who don't wanna hafta deal with parking downtown, if that's where they work. There's bunches of peeps who work DT in gub'mint offices (federal, state, city, and county).

I guess they'd rather trust their Lamborghinis to them Park & Ride stations, complete with drive-by rent-a-cop "security", than to have them just a block or so away in a more secure, monthly-fees parking garage or lot!

Or they could park their Yugos there instead...

Picturing the low-life hot-rodding around in Ferris Bueller's friend's dad's car.

Yeah, I guess it might make some sense to those who work downtown... But is there any high concentration of people working downtown in this area or what?! Did somebody do a "survey"?

OMG, speaking of surveys & "studies" (Tucson faves), did you see the BS about the manholes? The morons are paying 1/2 mil to have them counted! And that's nothing! It's dirt cheap! Nine years ago they paid 4.3 mil and had about 87% counted because they ran out of money. Have they not heard of having RECORDS of stuff like this instead of physically counting them every decade or so?! But then again… how are you gonna have your (and your buddies’) pockets lubricated?!

- drug store - there are already 2: half a mile away each in both directions

- junk-food joint

- payday loan joint

As you can see, it was a choice between the last 2! The excitement and uniqueness of Tucson!
I can picture the original conversation now...

"Okay, there was an old decrepit gas station here, Boss... and I see a Circle-K over there... and another gas station over across the way...
Let's see... I see a Starbucks over there... and an Eegee's over here... and DANG! There's ALREADY a payday loans over there!

Boss... I FEEL in my heart that Tucson NEEDS another IN-N-OUT right here... Yep! RIGHT HERE!

Trust me... I know these people!"

Now, Sierra... they prolly just LOST the original records... is all...

That happens... on occasion... don't you know?

Plus, to them its like the CENSUS... you can NEVER be sure you've counted all the MANHOLES...

And then there's the whole issue of whether they are counting legal manholes or illegal manholes too.
