My wife and I moved to Tucson last year, not really knowing much of anything about the city. We ended up in a somewhat dodgy apartment complex on St. Mary's Road, just west of I-10. The nieghborhood isn't horrible, but it isn't great either. Our complex has some drug dealers, and trashy people who, much like seagulls, make a bunch of noise and crap all over everything . Anyhow, our lease finally ends in a few months and we're looking to rent a home somewhere on the west side of town (Country Club is more or less as far east as we want to go). Our cap is about $950 a month. Where would be a good place to start looking.

We really loved the Old Bario and Armory neighborhoods when we drove through them. They looked nice, but then Menlo Park LOOKED nice too, before we moved in.

Thoughts? Ideas?
