Would you share your thoughts on what various places are like north of metro Tucson - for example, Oro Valley, Casa Adobe, and perhaps HOA's near them? Thanks

It really depends on what you're looking for. I live in Oro Valley (North) and appreciate the many bike paths, public works of art, incorporation of the desert into neighborhoods, rural feel and great schools. Metro Tucson is a bit more dodgy, for the most part does not have exeptional schools, and tends to be more expensive. However, Metro Tucson does have the culture, authentic Mexican resteraunts, nightlife and music/art.

Oro Valley's Villages of LaCanada has low HOA fees, compared to other parts of town, gated, lovely, school zoned for Amphi schools: Copper Creek Elem, Cross MS, CDO High... enjoyed living here a decade + now - So there's my vote!

I live in a community near Oldfather and Magee, in a townhouse with a HOA. It is a quiet little street, and in the short time since my husband and I moved in, we already know more of our neighbors that we met in the last 11 years at an apartment complex near Oracle and Magee. HOA fees run about 104.00 a month. There is a community pool that ihas been kept very clean so far, and a tennis court next to the pool. This is still considered Pima County unincorperated, just outside of the Marana Town limits.

Our HOA fees are less than $70/mo.

Are you planning on employment, Sunshinecities?

Commuting to the "other side of town" on a daily basis will drive you BONKERS.

Good Luck
