Can anyone suggest a good automotive service center for routine things such as oil changes and a/c charging? I have a late model Dodge and am fairly new to Tucson. On the flip side, also feel free to tell me about any service centers I might want to avoid. I live on the NW side of town, so ideally I'd prefer someplace relatively close, but I'll travel if necessary. Thank You!!

Finding a good "general maintenance" repair shop can be a nightmare, Shovelhead.

Over the years I've tried quite a few shops for my Jeep CJ-7 and feel very comfortable with the BRAKE MAX Car Care Center on Thornydale Road just North of Orange Grove near Costco. That's quite an accomplishment considering how particular I am when it comes to my vehicles.

I always deal with Ryan.

Good Luck

We take all of our work vehicles to Brake Max on Oracle just north of Ina. In the same plaza as Sprouts. They have never taken advantage of us and never recommend things that don't need to be done. Good place.

Thanks, bummer & jksn75! Brake Max seems to be an agreed upon thumbs-up, and I know where both locations are. Appreciate the info. If I can return the favor as far as Liverpool, NY, is concerned, please ask. JK-Thanks!

Hate to tell you, but I went to the Brake Max on Oracle just north of Ina and I was NOT impressed. Very poor attitude from the people I dealt with. I wouldn't recommend it.

Agree completely, Jukesgrrl . . .

The Brake Max on First Avenue just South of River Road (walking distance from me) left me unimpressed as well. So they are not all the same as far as I'm concerned.

However, the one I recommended (Thornydale just North of Orange Grove) is definitely worth the drive and very well could be due to the Manager, Ryan.

Appreciate the clarification, Jukesgrrl & Bummer. I'll be sure to patronize the preferred franchise. Thanks!

Not sure if Brake Max's are franchises or branches, however, I do know the "ambiance" varies depending on the location. It's gotta be the employees and, above all, the management.

Good Luck and keep us updated on your experience.
