Michigan Man Calls Police To Complain About Prostitute Price Hike

ANN ARBOR, Mich. -- Police in southeast Michigan say a man called to complain that a woman he had agreed to pay for sex unexpectedly increased the price.

Police say the woman was arrested. The man wasn't taken into custody.

According to investigators, the man and woman gave vastly different accounts of what happened. The case is under investigation and prosecutors will determine any possible charges.

This is great!

Two quick questions though:
1. How come only she was arrested, and not him [as the 'john']; and
2. Hasn't he ever heard of free enterprise? No price fixing and aren't there anti-trust laws that can help prevent price fixing?

Good for her!

Thanks for sharing this one!

I had a client one time who was charged with soliciting a prostitute for sex. The reason he was caught is that the prostitute stole his wallet during the time they were together. This guy actually went to the police to complain about it. He got charged, she did not.

Is theft a less serious or more serious offense than soliciting a prostitute? I just don't know.

Interesting and good question, I think. Are we determining a response[s] based on the ethical/moral slant or on the legal slant w/its potential ramifications, such as: which hurts another person more? which action affects others [more]? does it depend on what was stolen, and how much was stolen? Given that prostitution and stealing have been around for cazillion years [Old/New Testament references as well- so clearly cazillion years - ], and neither has stopped....

Theft is more serious because of the 2 parties, 1 was deprived of property without consent..the victim. Prostitution is consensual where both parties agree. I would suspect she denied even being with or even having met the guy.

The OP and this one go to show how completely arbitrary arrest decisions are. Is ANYONE working on making this a little more fair?

it also depends on State too.

Some states only go after the guys, some states go after the girls. And i heard prostitution is legal in NV.

Because she was a Democrat and promised protection under the current administration so long as she votes for Barrack. See, she was actually one of the new "jobs" created last month....he needed a "job" and she needed a job....so they probably counted that as two.....come to think of it, because he called the police, they probably counted the desk clerk again as well.....and now that we are all reading it, there's no end to the new jobs it has created.

In her eyes it was taking from those that could obviously, afford it. Redistributing the wealth. So in a way, it was taxing the top 1 percent of that particular street.....1 percent on the news with the street/locale being left out....the new math if you will....

Going forward, he will have to be more careful how he spends what few dollars he has left. Because, like the ***** he was playing with, the current administration plans to ***** you out.....too.....if only you will let them.....

He wasn't arrested because he's smart, Republican, knows how to dance, and probably knows what to say in most settings. She got arrested because she is stupid, always looking for a handout and if it isn't votes she will do it for almost anything....democrat if you will....she would rather spend her time huffing on a Republican because it's just too hard to work for an honest wage and in keeping all things in perspective, it's easier this way....so long as there's a hard on with a money roll, she's good to go. Why sling hash at the you-pick-the-greasy diner? This is quick, a bit nasty, but leaves lots of time for Cable and texting. For most Dem's, this is a career opportunity with some advancement predicated on performance.

So, get out there all you short on dough looking for the alleged rich (As if there are many of those still left) to bail you out in 20 minutes, or less. Just remember, they may take their money overseas and offshore this as well. Besides, the Asian community, like all "jobs", does it for less, complains less, and can turn 20 or so more "pieces" per shift than any old patriotic street walker we have to offer. USA! USA! USA!....just sayin.....

Manufacturing isn't the only thing on a global scale...Bangkok is named appropriately for a reason...it's highly unlikely the current administration is going to be able to "fix" this part of the economic sector nor be able to create 1,000,000 "jobs" as he mentioned last night. However, if it's this kind of "job" he's trying to create, he has an exponentially better chance creating these than any manufacturing jobs he might have mentioned....maybe that was his point....come to think of it, like all his empty promises, he never really did articulate what TYPE of jobs he was intending to bring back

Hmmmmmmmmm......maybe that's why he brought Clinton out of Mothballs...that guy knows a thing or two about "jobs" and unlike most democrats, he knows how to get away with it!
