OK, I have heard that he tested positive for cannabis only. But I have not been able to find out whether at the time the face-eating occurred, they were able to use the newer, more sensitive test for K2, LOL and the other fake pot on the market right now, or the older test that shows only that something along the lines of pot or K2 was in use. Does anyone know?
I ask because while pot is extremely unlikely to make a person violent, it's common with people using K2, LOL, OMG or what have you.
If it was synthetic marijuana rather than the real thing, that would explain everything -- thanks!
I know it is in the process of being outlawed, but people should feel free to stop using it BEFORE it becomes illegal. I have never seen anything like this fake pot -- it's as cheap as pot, and even more available, but the effects can be like angel dust sprinkled on steroids. I fail to understand why anyone would like to smoke something that smells that... radioactive. As poor Mr. Poppo found out the hard way. I have not heard anything about how the man with no face is getting along.

He's on youtube, someone in the P&OC forum posted a video about his recovery a couple of days ago, he's up walking around and regaining speech. I didn't pay any attention to this story when it first broke, but even after some recovery Mr. Poppo looks awful.
Yeah, it's not like they can call up the Face Bank and order him a new one. He's going to look worse than Mason Verger for the rest of his miserable life. I wonder if he can tell anyone enough about what happened to help make the whole scenario make sense? I mean, why were they both naked in public? Did the other guy knock him out and then undress him? Did they know each other? Was there an argument? The assailant's fiancee said she suspected a voodoo curse, which tyells me something about how out of character it was for the man she loved to do something like this.
