you shouldn't worry about flying...i'm a frequent flyer...i used to just go around the US (work related) and then few years back when i switch jobs i decided to just go out of the country once or twice a year for vacation...oh...i even flew just few days right after 9/11! nothing will scare me to fly...its the best mode of transportation for me specially going to far away place...i don't like long drive and boats...so flying is just right for me...

i actually just got back from New Zealand last week...it was fun...a bit bumpy for a while because of the turbulance...but sometimes you'll just sleep through it or just watch lots of movies that the airline offers....

plus, i always believe that if its time for you to go...then it is time...

Flying is much safer than driving.

Well, update on my trip! I am back safe and sound. I flew business class with my 10 yrs old daughter and before the plane took off and everyone was boarding we were allowed to speak to the pilots and they assured me that they are always within 120 min from an airport. I slept thru most of the 7 hours there and 8 hours back. Also when checking in in Frankfurt I happened to overhear the lady at the check in counter calling back to the gate and giving her 4 names of security agents being on board. I asked her after she got off the phone and she told me there are usually at least 2 Air Marshalls on each flight so that made me even feel better. Anyways thought I update. Its funny I have been flying back and forth between the 2 continents for the past 30 yrs. sometimes even twice a year and still have that fear... I dont think it will ever completly go away :-) and I know for a fact driving on US Hwy 19 here where I live more people get killed on a daily basis then the chance of crashing with an airplane.

Thanks all for posting.

Mandy
