Using fake cards to enter the EU then going to their hospital with covid and they learn you weren't vaccinated and forged it (yes they can trace to our CDC)... would mean a stiff penalty. Its unlikely to happen, but this isn't foolproof to assume you could enter with a forged card without consequences.

On the other hand, once we all reach some sort of vaccine parity, what difference does it make if people from similar countries come and go.

Best reason to visit Paris this summer is it will be the only one left, perhaps, without hordes of Chinese tourists. If only it would stop raining!

No one here is seriously considering paper certificates. Not to say that we have not used them in the past, I have a Yellow Fever card from only four years ago.

We have a National My Gov website which includes an opt out medical record section. Husband got his second vaccination a week ago and the supplier uploads it onto this record. He was reading all his vaccinations, flu typhoid etc etc. The digital certificate can then be downloaded onto a phone app where you can control the amount of information shown. But they haven’t worked out yet what to do about people who opted our of the medical records.

Can’t use vaccination status for anything much yet as too few are fully vaccinated.

But we hope by Christmas they might start to enable us to travel again.

Had no idea that percentage of the US are sheep who without question follow their elected official and so called medical “experts”, who as far as the Covid goes can’t seem to find their own ass with 2 hands and a flashlight.

It might occur to you that the reason we have a CDC on a federal level and state and local health departments is that we need expertise on this subject. Not all subjects can be mastered simply.

I do not agree with every statement made by the CDC since the pandemic began. However, they are largely correct.

No, I don't trust Joe "high school graduate" Blow to make proper decisions on how to deal with infectious disease. Joe might think he is an expert because he reads articles on naturopathic medicine, diet and exercise on the internet everyday. That does not make him an expert in the same way that earning a college degree studying virology, physiology, medicine, and vaccinology does. These are the people who staff CDC and our local health departments. Knowledge will always count for more than lack of knowledge.

If we are ever going to get back to widescale international travel we are going to have to follow the advice of experts and vaccinate to get this disease under control. There is not an alternative.

I have no idea what you are talking about... what are you saying? The people who got vaccinated are "sheep" with no brains? This has nothing to do with politics... this is science at it's best, mRNA technology on which the Covid vaccine is based is an absolute technological wonder and it's now come forward to save us from this terrible situation.

We owe science and human ingenuity and when we have such advancement in science to have your head in the sand is truly unfortunate.

The Wuhan Lab conspiracy theory is alive and well in Europe, too. Their outbreaks all trace back to Chinese people or European businesses people who were in that part of China. I think it’s unlikely the Chinese will be welcomed with open arms. I don’t think you’ll see all those enormous tour groups marching around all the tourist sites for many years.

So I’m just imagining the 600,000+ deaths and all those overflowing ICUs? I’ll be delighted when you’re turned away at passport control because you don’t have proof of vaccination. Canada is certainly not going to open their border until they’re 70% vaccinated because of people like you. Freakin’ ignorant ‘Muricans. The laughing stock of the planet.
