For a layover, I'm partial to Charlotte.

Best in the world? Munich (Airbrau!), Seattle, SXM (outside at the sunset beach bar watching the heavies land). Amsterdam gets an honorable mention.

Worst? Newark, Dallas (weather), Paris CDG.

I stay far away from Aeroflot. The new terminal in KBPis quite nice. There has definitely been some modernization since 1990.

Anyway, the worst airport I've been to was Manila.

Best: Atlanta. Beijing. Shanghai. Charlotte is getting to be quite nice. I like San Francisco, too. Munich was a great airport, haven't been through there in a while, though.

Worst: O'Hare. No contest. Absolutely hate that airport, will avoid connections through there like the plague. Cleveland is a close second.

Best: SeaTac, Manchester-Boston regional, Midway over O'Hare because it's closer to home and easier to get in and out of.

Worst: Miami. I hate hate hate flying in and out of there.

I generally travel to and from the same cities, only the layover city changes at times.

Best: Denver, and I actually like DFW. SeaTac isn't bad either.

Worst: Vegas. Also, I realize it's not really a layover airport, but for the amount of visitors the city gets, I'd expect more from San Diego's.
