I called Toyota this AM because I noticed that the plastic bumper sheathing on both the front and rear had seemed a little "off" when i looked closely(it wasn't aligned with the non plastic part). I had simply snapped the plastic back into the non plastic part (or i assume it's non plastic) with no problem but on at least one other occasion i found the plastic to be out again so i snapped it back in and then decided to call Toyota's 800 # to ask how to proceed. the guy i spoke to put in a call to one of the managers at the dealer i bought the car from who will be contacting me next week.
this is the kind of thing you would not even notice unless you looked closely. I don't know if it's just flimsy and comes loose with road bumps, or maybe from when another car lightly hits the bumper when parking, or god forbid someone is trying to take the panel off
I want Toyota to look at the panel because I am concerned that driving the car with an ill fitting plastic panel might weaken it in time
any inputs here? the car has been flawless except for this thing
