I still think there should be 5 sub-forums for Ohio, Northwest, Northeast, Southwest, Southeast, and Central, divided the same way ONN does for their news and weather. I don't believe NW Ohio rural areas identify with SE Ohio rural areas, other than they are both rural. But then NW Ohio rural areas and Toledo are just both in NW Ohio. However, we are more familiar with the areas around here than the areas around Athens.
In what world do you live in that Fort Wayne (a 2 and a half hour drive) is closer than Toledo, only a mere 30 to 40 minute drive. Most who live in Port Clinton, or more notably, Portage Township, Danbury Township, and Marblehead, travel into Cleveland for their shopping and cultural expeditions. Aside from the casual Mudhens game or maybe a trip to the the notable art museum, Toledo has not much to offer.

News flash. Port Clinton is between Toledo and Cleveland and those are the closest major cities. It’s hilarious that people from Port Clinton are looking down at Toledo. There’s even less to do there than Toledo. The lake access is lovely though, I’ll admit.

Default Birding, fishing top Port Clinton attactions

Port Clinton is located in one of the best birding areas in the Midwest. There are many wonderful beaches and natural areas, including Magee Marsh with its famous boardwalk and the adjacent Ottawa National Wildlife Refuge.

Having an annual permit to Cedar Point certainly can entertain the kids as well as roller coaster-loving adults. Also check out the great indoor water parks in Sandusky.

Here's a dated travel article about Cleveland.

Jolly Roger Seafood House in Port Clinton is one of my favorite destinations for yellow perch in all of Ohio.

Port Clinton offers excellent Lake Erie fishing, including ice fishing in the winter.
