I dont rethink my statement. Unless the restrictions on the money are particularily egregious. Which they're not obviously because 46 out of 50 states have taken the money. Then you take the money on behalf of the children it will benefit and jump through a few hoops on their behalf if necessary. Pride cometh before the fall. If Texas experiences a budget shortfall because of the recession and my taxes get raised to pay for Perry's ideological partisanship. Then I certainly will not be happy.

That's exactly what he's doing, but every once in awhile there's a method to a man's madness.

Almost all of your opinions would change if the state raised your property taxes another $500 because of a budget shortfall. That proves this stance by Perry and his supporters is nothing more than hollow pride.

Don't be so quick to conclude that everyone who agrees with this particular move is a Perry supporter. IIRC, someone above who liked the move stated that they were not a fan of him.

Sometimes it's possible to do the right thing for the wrong reasons.

Perry has gone past stupidity to being downright evil. He is willing to sacrifice childrens education to make some vague political point. Sick stuff.
The only people who sacrifice children's education are the teachers union - sick people
