I was born in Odessa.

My Odessa home was only a few blocks from Dubya's first Texas home...
but don't hold that against me.

Back then Odessa was a booming oil town and everything was shiny and new.

When I was 10, we moved to the Dallas area and I have lived here ever since.

I haven't been back to Odessa in decades.

Like every where else, I'm sure it has radically changed.

So here's a question as to what makes a Native Texan - I was born in Monterrey, Mexico, to an American father and a Mexican mother. They were living (and still live) in Dallas, and only went to Monterrey to give birth so that my mother could be with her family during the trying time of childbirth. After 5 days or so we took the flight back, and I was raised in Dallas.

So I would say Dallas, even if I wasn't technically born here.

Born and raised in Dallas and its suburbs. Lived most of my adult life in either Midland or Houston. Just moved to Oklahoma recently.
