Most favorite:
Diversity- What other state can lay claim to barren deserts, mountains, high plains grasslands, piney wood forests, swamplands and coastline all within its borders?
Extremes- Smallest county set: Mentone (Loving County, population est. 15). Largest: Houston (Harris County, population 2,208,180)
Pride- I think it's cool to like where you live.
People- With the obvious exceptions, the people in Texas are grand. Besides, we have Nolan Ryan, Lance Armstrong, ZZ Top, Buddy Holly and Chuck Norris. 'Nuff said.

Least:
The freakin' weather- Texas does not have four seasons, we have two: summer and not summer.
The governor- I detest Governor Goodhair.

That's pretty much it.

What are your most and least favorite things about living in Texas? The things you love, the things you hate?? It can be anything at all, significant or inconsequential.

Thanks for your help!!

love: the spring wild flowers, not just the blue bonnets but all of them.

great food, especially Tex/Mex

people are down right friendly most places

lower cost of living than in many parts of the USA

it is in the middle of the country so easy commute regardless of where you are going

a good combination of progressive and conservative..

Texas pride like almost nowhere else execept here in AR

Good sports teams, some college, some pro

Great colleges

Hate: summer heat and humidity

lots of reverse discrimination in the larger cities

High property taxes.

Damn Dallas Cowboys

Dallas and Houston traffic

I know there are other loves and hates, but these come to mind.

Most: Texas
Least: Yankees who come to Texas for the milk and honey, but can do nothing but find fault with Texas while they eat it up.
