Hilarious, how Top Chef Texas passed up Houston since the city wouldn't pay them. Another example of how out of touch with reality the entertainment industry is...

If you want to say so...

Houston would still probably come out ahead, but the difference is not huge when you consider the metro's against each other.

In the end, it doesnt really matter. I personally think Houston is the best eating city in Texas. When comparing metros, however, I dont think DFW is that far behind Greater Houston. What I think places Houston ahead is innovation. Like Houston, DFW has the variety of cuisines (ethnic and non-ethnic), the fine dining, and the fusion, they just dont have as much innovation. I think that will change at some point.
