Lol, how do you figure that? Because they got a new proposal..? How many towers has Houston built recently..? Now how many has DFW..? It's about time DFW steps up to the table, but one super tall proposal will hardly "leave Houston in the dry"..
Honestly we only got one real tower during this construction boom. The rest are midgets and barely make a dent in our skyline.

That "one real tower" is the tallest tower built in the entire state of Texas in the last twenty-five years... Emporis lists at least 14 skyscrapers (towers over 100m/330ft) that have gone up or are going up during this boom.. If those aren't making a very big "dent" in the skyline it's only because our skyline is already so tall..

With that being said, it's kind of a "me-too" move and it's not really new service. AA will drop one of their existing DFW-NRT services as this is a joint venture. ANA did the same thing in Houston a few months ago - replaced United's second IAH-NRT flight with their own metal.

So DFW isn't really gaining anything other than a new tail - which in and of itself is a good thing.

Interesting this article makes mention of a national league arena in the southwest portion of downtown Dallas. It would be cool to have two MLB teams in the metroplex.
