We will be renting a car from Dallas area driving to San Antonio for a job thinking of taking our family to Laredo and cross over to Mexico my husband will be covering job sites within the area with the company he is with is it safe or just stay on the Texas side of Laredo???

is it safe in general to go into the laredo Texas area? are there any risks with venturing int corpus christi?

Anyplace in the US is fine including the border cities. I can understand you asking about Laredo and it is fine but Corpus? that is at least two hours north of the border. Let's not blow this out of proportion.. Mexico is a completely different story.
