Wimberley Texas.......this is a secret hidden gem, most folks don't know about. Seriously this town is a little Oasis, nestled in the Hill country in a little valley with two rivers/creeks running through it, surrounded by big cypress trees. It is also known as the 2nd biggest vendor and arts and crafts show in the entire state.... The 1st weekend of every month, at least 450/475 vendors and tourist converge on this beautiful downtown area. It is only about 4000/5000 population and the high school is a 3a school and may go to state this year Wimberley Texans. The town has a zipline you can ride from the top of cliffs, a real life dude town, and San Marcos is only about 10 minutes away, Texas State University...You also have Austin about 45 minutes away. Google all this stuff and you will want to start planning your move.
