Thanks for all that are trying to help!

It's a carport, but I guess we could put a hole in it rather than have the roof cave in. My husband has been climbing up on the roof and sweeping off the water. We have some sort of rubber compound that we used. It looks like the previous owners did this, too.

This is not the original building. There used to be a two-car garage. They made that into a family room/bathroom/laundry room/storage room, with fieldstone patio. That looks good.

Then someone decided to add on a carport to the back of the house. That's the flat roof. Added onto that is the workshop, that has a slanted roof. Someone went wrong with the carport!

Try doing a search on www.google.com for flexible PVC pipe. I think i've gotten some down to 1 inch diameter...

Happy ThanksGiving Y'ALL

Lisa and Mike,

Thank you for sharing your story with everyone. We all watched as your dream became a reality. Everyone looked forward to reading the next chapter and seeing your pictures, but we all realize that all good things must come to an end at some point. I'm amazed at how long you were able to continue your story and happy that you did. I hope to be able to share our story as well when my wife and I are able to retire in Putnam County, Tennessee in about 7 years. We will also build a new home.

Our best wishes to you and Mike for a Happy Thanksgiving and a very merry Christmas!

Thank you Lisa! It was kind of you take the time to write all of this for us, even when you were extremely busy! Your last installment was perfect!

And thank you, Mr. Hawk J, for still trying to help us out!

May Lisa, Mike, Nikki and all of the avid followers of this thread have warm and happy holidays!

Hi, Lisa and Mike, oh, and of course, Niki. I just now read your last installment and feel sad that it is ending for now. It's been such a pleasure keeping up with you guys. The curbing looks great, even with feathers!

Have a wonderful holiday season and hope to see you around the other forums.
