I noticed the Natchez Trace Parkway was #2. I live just a few miles from where the parkway starts. I think it's a great drive in either the spring or fall.

Was outside taking photos for a class yesterday. It pretty much looked to me like Fall foliage time was over before it even started around where I live.

It's still about 75% green around here. A few tress like the maples have changed color, and some leaves are brown, but they've been brown for two months.

Sorry to report that it stopped before it got started in my area, too. Of course, I don't live that far from Laura C.

Do you two mean that the leaves just stopped changing color, or that the leave fell off without ever really showing any color?

It's still overwhelmingly green around my part of Knoxville. There are a few trees here and there that have turned beautiful shades of gold and red.

This happened several years ago, as I recall. We essentially had two falls; the first one was about this time of year, and then around Thanksgiving we had another burst of colors.

Hwy 100 through the Chickasaw state park in Chester and Hardeman counties is my favorite fall drive.

Kinda odd that the list ignores all of NE Tennessee, which -- other than the Smokies -- arguably has the best & most reliable color in the state. While it's clearly on the wane now, I've seen a great deal of outstanding color this fall in Johnson, Carter, Washington, Sullivan & Hawkins counties.

I really need to get this camera fixed. Then I could show everyone what I am talking about.
