Went to Tennessee Fall Homecoming at the Museum of Appalachia in Norris this morning. It's an annual event that draws people from several states. There was a car parked near me with Minnesota license plates. I really liked the music the best. There were performers on 3 different stages on the grounds. I heard bluegrass and gospel. Anyway, here are a few photos. If you want to find out about the multi-day event, go here:

Default Would love to hear the music. Great pics.

That looks like so much fun, LauraC! Thanks for sharing your great day there. We'll look forward to going next year. I'll look for the lady who seems to know what she is doing with a camera. (It will NOT be me!)

Great pics; any cloggers this year? I wish the forum would let me give you more rep. "Spread it around first..." But, you know we all appreciate your posts.

Thanks.

There are cloggers and buck dancers on the program but I didn't see them while I was there in the morning. Interestingly enough, while the Museum of Appalachia is having this annual multi-day event, the neighboring town of Clinton is having it's annual Clinch River Antiques Festival this weekend, too.

Great pictures! It really looks like a fun festival.

(I particularly like the picture of the rooster strutting among the sheep.)

Oh, the food smells (barbecue) and grass smells and homemade soap/candle smells were great but I don't usually try new food or drink at a festival...just in case.

There were people ladling sassafras tea and you see that yellow sign for muscadine juice. I had never heard of muscadine so when I came home I looked it up and read that it's a good source of antioxidants, way more so than red wine. Anyone ever drink non-alcoholic muscadine juice? What does it taste like?
