Hi. I am currently a Philly resident of 13 years and am looking to relocate to the St Pete area. My sig other will take classes at the St Pete campus of USF, so my home would need to be within reasonable commuting distance of the school.

During my time in Philly I have, at times, lived in 'transitional' areas with fairly high crime, so my street smarts are highly developed. That said, I have NO DESIRE to live in an area where crime is prevalent or escalating - safety is paramount.

I have seen properties near the water in Gulfport, Snell Isle area, S Pasadena and Bay Vista Park that I have found attractive. I am looking for something under $250K relatively close to supermarket, home improvement store, and Target-ish shopping. I really do not want to live in an areas with a heavy student population and local schools are not important as I have no kids.

If you have had good experience with a buyer's agent, especially one with relocation experience, I would appreciate your referrals. I'd also appreciate the skinny on the areas I mentioned above or others that might fit my bill. Thanks so much for your assistance!

I have two questions:

What does "DM" stand for?

How does one find out the phone number and/or email address of a realtor member of a forum? I presume this information has been placed in the realtor's profile, but how does one access it?

DM stands for Direct Message. You can send a driect message by: Click on the name of the person you wish to respond to. A drop box should come down with an option to send a DM to that person.

People who are registered as a Realtor on City Data have a 'house' icon next to their name. You can check their profile by clicking on their name and select 'View Public Profile', then 'About Me'. Some have a website where their profile is listed with phone # posted on the right side of their profile.
