What's the distance and drive time from St. Pete to Bradenton?
If anyone would share peak drive time in the AM and PM
and a typical non-peak mid afternoon time also. Thanks for sharing
this info. Is this a nightmare drive?

Man...I have been trying to get a real answer to this question from someone who actually makes this drive for a month. Just a bunch of "you don't want to do that" opinions, but no facts. Please...somebody answer this. I know people are making this commute....but they don't seem to be on this board.

According to Google Maps, from the south edge of St. Petersburg to the north edge of Bradenton is 23.9 miles, and (not taking into account traffic and peak times) it takes about 29 minutes.

My boss does it everyday (and has for the last 13 years), and it takes him between 35-45 minutes. I commute the same way from Riverview. He has no problem with it, but teh commute is relaly starting to drain me. The amount of traffic is not bad, but you will face a little bit of clog on the Sunshine (the very long, but pretty bridge). Get yourself a sunpass when you move so that you don't have to stop at the toll.

depends on where in each area you're really going to but figure about 45 min back to back excluding that info...

Is it a nightmare....oh my gawd.....how they fly on I-275! I don't think they've heard of a speed limit.

And don't forget, most of our accidents are caused by people passing out from heart failure, i.e...you never know who's going to keel over while on the interstate....no joke!

One of my employees commutes from St. Pete to Bradenton everyday. She says on a good day it takes her about 40 - 45 mins both ways. She's usually on the road to Bradenton around 7:30'ish each day and home to St. Pete from Bradenton around 5:30'ish.

Like someone else said - try the SunPass. Traffic is traffic on any given day - just ensure that you have enough patience for the *******s who think tailgating is an art form!

Is the drive time any less going from the Hyde Park area to Bradenton?
Thanks,
Ashley
