We're similar in age, in Wesley Chapel, and love to go out. I don't know of a lot of places for dancing, but the Hang Out on 41 in Lutz used to sometimes have club or 80s nights. They do have regular live music.

We mostly hang out at the Brass Tap at Wiregrass.

"Dancing" for adults does not seem to be the flavor of any month here.

Ybor City is right. Over the last ten years crime had really dropped. I have a friend there with a very nice photo/video studio that puts on shows in the local night spots. Even the News networks come down to use the facilities. Photographers come from around the world to photograph the historic district. The Columbia restaurant is a must visit for those liking Spanish cuisine. I think it is on 7th AVE near 21st St.

Just hit Skippers... right off of the Bears exit on 275... great for young and old, great food, great vibe, etc. You'll want to go back, trust me. Thursday night is the best night imo

Welcome to Skipper's Smokehouse!

Caliente isn't that bad. On Thursday nights its ladys night and the crowd is mixed. Yes some will be naked but most are scantily dressed. Good music and drinks aren't too bad priced. Get there early as I think free drinks ends at 10??

Haha ... we are in similar geographic area! Like you said, I haven't found anything really worth while either! We are young at our hearts too; however, I don't want to hang out with 20 year olds either! LOL

Haven't tried Ukeles -- it just seems like it's always packed!

Like yourself, I would love to find something close so it doesn't take over an hour to get home; especially if we are taking a cab home from a fun night out with hubby!

Yikes... an hour to get home. Might as well just Hotwire a hotel room... it would be cheaper.

We went down to Bearss (about 20 min) and found an Irish pub that was nice and did live music but again its a bit far for a cab ride. Ukuleles gets busy but I like the the atmosphere there. Not exactly a night out dancing but we have been twice now and both times struck up conversation with others and had a really good time. Last night I went to publix (had to get some wine lol) and noticed a Beef Obradys on the end there. I Have never been but heard its a restaurant/sports bar. That might be good for football season. I keep hearing the Brass Tap is good over at Wiregrass also.
