I see a lot of people talking about sinkholes, and not gonna lie it has me a bit worried..I have never had to think about sinkholes so I don't really know what they are...I mean I have an idea but I don't get how one is supposed to know if a place is 'prone' to sinkholes and what causes them?? Can someone explain what and why I should know about them?? Like, do they swallow your house or something (don't laugh, I'm serious lol
) I am a little freaked over that...

i think i would want to have enough catastrophic coverage in case of a worst case scenario but there seems to be a lot of fraud and denying claims as a result, tons of money wasted, etc.
shifting geology is a real problem everywhere but central florida seems to have it bad. south may have it bad as well, just nobody notices out in the swamps?

Catastrophic ground collapse (where your house goes down the hole) is pretty rare. 99 percent of the claims are for cracking in walls, doors that stick, stuff like that.
