hi whats going on?
this is my first time using a forum so im kinda excited about the response i will get.
im a 29 year old west indian(blk) male from the brooklyn ny area but been living in richmond va for the past 7 years
my partner is a blk male from the phily area but have been living in the richmond area for the past 7 years also

we both are in the human service field (him -field supervisor for intensive home care)
(me - behavior specialsit/special ed teacher and i work part time as a nail technician)

we both love the night life of clubs and good clean bars where you can sit and eat w/out the violence. i love to dance being that im from trinidad and all lol. he loves shopping at boutique type shops and malls
love the inter-city but not downtown

so my question is this where would be the best place to start over maybe rent a house instead of buying just yet. we will be renting out our current home here in richmond. so..............tampa or st pete or where.....
thanks in advance
dino

Default You guys sound so-o Wilton Manors, chic!

Which is in Ft. Lauderdale. I know that is a ways from Tampa but I couldn't help telling you about Wilton Manors. A cute town with a Dairy Queen and a few neat boutiques, clubs, culture and restaurants in neighboring areas. And a bunch of other cool things in that fashion.

Try Google searching Tampa. That should point you in the right direction.

Best wishes finding your place in the sun.

I also think Wilton Manor is a great spot for you. St Pete is another great option.

In St. Pete you will want to look around the Grand Central area/Kenwood, or downtown area/Roser Park, and also Gulfport.
In Tampa you will want to look around Hyde Park/SOHO Districts, Ybor City areas.
