I tried to get a direct link to the video but it was futile. I bet some people on here are gonna say this video is fake so I leave it up to you to be the judge.
If that truck was "stuck" the driver needs to find a new job because he sure can't drive. A WRX-STI couldn't pull a pick-up out of a ditch if it were stuck for real.

sure, winter tires on the WRX would make a lot of difference. An STi has, what, 300 hp or thereabouts? I'd bet that semi has about the same hp. Difference being the semi's tires are probably not winter-geared.
the poster forgets the semi truck makes 650-700 lbs of torque and that what makes it tow not HP

Yep. Anybody who thinks a Subaru and a Semi develop the same kind of horsepower is just flat-out dumb.
One of my dad's many tractors is an old 1206 International, rated at about 110 hp. Let's hook that tractor up to the "300 hp" Subaru and see which vehicle pulls which vehicle backwards.

That is hilarious. But lets not forget who mainly drive Subaru WRX's.... kids.
It looks impressive, but most likely it wasn't on wintertires, and not stuck as much as not having any traction. I've seen this before, and honestly, it doesn't take much to get them going.
As for the trucks horsepower, it'll have anywhere from 180hp or so up to about 360hp is I remember correctly. But obviously unhuman amounts of torque, sadly that torque does nothing when the tires are of the slippery kind.
it's stupid to hook any car up to a truck and try to get it going, fake, real or whatever
i've seen all manner of jeeps, trucks and four wheelers pulling all manner of stuck stuff in mud, on snow, etc. you have to know what the hell you're doing or you break stuff, it's as simple as that.
