I am looking for a good restaurant for the whole family to go to.

There will be 8 adults and 5 kids. I prefer to stay in the city or inner-ring. I was going to go out to Westport simply because I like the Kobe Japanese Steakhouse so darn much, but they turned us down because they won't take reservations for more than 10. So just like that, they turned away our $300. I'm still pretty heated about it. Oh well.

Unless my bro in law and cooks something up with the Kobe manager, where else should we consider going?

We were going to do Kobe which is about $20 per adult. Any ideas? Nice neighborhood spot, nice view, whatever it has to offer - let me know!

We enjoy Kobe with our fam too because it's casual, hands on, fun, and easy with the kids. Have you considered fondue instead? I know the Melting Pot is chainy... but it's super fun with a large group and the location in the Loop is great in December with the lights and whatnot.

Note: we are in their e-club and get phenomenal mailings, like $25 off a $100 purchase. I think they are also in the Entertainment Book.
