Which is better? What is the difference? We are looking in the Ballwin area and noticed the two.

We lived in Ballwin, just off New Ballwin road, for 16 years before being transferred to Omaha. Although we did not have any children in the schools, most of our neighbors did. We lived in Parkway district but were only about 1/4 mile from the boundry between Parkway and Rockwood. We knew people in both districts and I would have to say that there is not much difference other than the Rockwood schools may be a bit newer. Hope that helps.

Actually, neither is better. That's the truth. Both school districts have a reputation as being among the best in the St. Louis area (although I'd like to think so since I live there) but there are many great districts in the area. The sight that aragx6 gives you is a great sight for the numbers, but I wouldn't worry about choosing between Parkway or Rockwood.

I agree. You really can't go wrong with either.

It's not terrible, I can survive for three more years. I just did not want to move for many reasons but I had too many years invested to just give it up so here I am. The golf courses are much cheaper here than St Louis, I just cannot get used to all the wind. But, I'll make it.........

Thanks for the input. Glad to hear that both districts are equally as good....makes things easier when looking for a house.
