Hi all -

We are looking at two possible properties in the Tower Grove South and Tower Grove East areas.

Though we are familiar with the general area and city living, I was wondering if any local residents had any opinions...

Option #1 is on Hartford between Morganford and Alfred
Option #2 is on Michigan between Pestalozzi and Arsenal

Thank you!

Option #1 is significantly less sketchy. That doesn't necessarily mean I'd choose number 1, but the general feel of the neighborhood and the quality of your neighbors is going to vary quite a bit between these two locations.

If I were personally looking at Tower Grove East I vastly prefer being west of Comtpon as opposed to east and keeping a bit of a buffer between my home and Roosevelt High.

That, combined with the fact that the Hartford property is a much shorter walk to some entertainment options (I love that burgeoning Morganford strip of bars), would mean that I'd really really have to find something to love in the Michigan property to make it worth it.

Best of luck either way!

Thank you! That is what I had thought -- I've heard that it is better to be west of Compton -- so I appreciate your feedback!

I used to live near Arsenal and Morganford and really enjoyed it. TGE is great, but IMO TGS has more to offer in terms of walkability and stability.

I had friends that lived on Hartford between Gustine and Roger and they really enjoyed it. Being just 1 block south of the park is nice, especially for events.
