Hello, I was wondering if anyone had information on N 6th St, Saint Charles, MO 63301...I'm wondering how the safety is in that area, if its a semi-quiet area, etc..

We're looking at renting a house in that area so I'm trying to gather as much information I can to make sure it will be a good fit.

Thank You!

North 6th street goes for a little ways, so i'm not sure around what block you'd be looking. For the most part, it's really a residential area and has very close access to Historic Downtown St. Charles. I think it should be fairly quiet, minus any traffic noise that works it way over from 5th street.

Very safe, I would say pretty quiet, a nice historical area

thanks all, the house we are looking at is going towards Morgan Street (South of Morgan Street). I've read that its near Historic Downtown St. Charles like what fly mentioned, glad to hear its a very safe area, safety is my main concern when living in a new neighborhood (typical concern just like everyone else has lol)

yeh, that area should be historic residential...older homes, and fairly quiet. Enjoy Old Town St. Charles is an awesome part of the St. Louis Metro area.

Thanks for the info Fly!

sorry to be annoying but would anyone know about Fair Oaks Drive, Saint Charles Mo 63301? Same zip as the other house, this second house is another house on our *want list*, I went through a map function and selected crime and it was all green (very low and safe area) which is nice but sometimes those functions can be a bit wrong. so figured I would ask..again hope I'm not being too annoying with asking, I'm not really familiar with Saint Charles, my husband grew up in Ballwin and we're mostly familiar with Ballwin/Chesterfield/etc except those area's are a bit too pricy for us.

should be fine, i think i've ridden around that area numerous times but im not 100%. It looks a tad more modern than the previous location, homes won't be classic, and will most likely date between the 1970-1990, it won't have quite the character, but for the most part just about all of St. Charles Co is relatively safe. I've seen some apartment complexes that I wouldn't trust, and some low income areas that can look pretty shady, but even those are rare to violent crimes.

Both are very good locations. My friend just bought a house on Duchesne right near the Fair Oaks location you posted. Safety is of very little concern in either area, but the 6th street location will be a bit more walkable.

That location would be safe, very walkable and if you're into bike riding, just blocks away from the KATY trail: Katy Trail Missouri Trail Maps, Businesses, Events, Mileage, and more
