If Philly fan's do anything wrong it's long lasting.
That's why I'm so Happy the beer tossing event happen outside of Philly.
Sorry to burst your bubble, but I have several friends who have gone to Phillies and Eagles games and had beer tossed on them for wearing other jersey's, so it's not just a misconception based on a few publicized incidents. I know it happens at other ballparks, but not as frequently as Philly. If someone has a repuation, it's because that reputation was earned. It's not as though Philly teams are winning teams like the Yankees or Patriots so everyone hates them, it's because of their fans.
Because Philly Fans are ungrateful and will only support you as long as you are winning. When you are losing they bail on you and call you names. So yes Philly fans are the worst
and sometimes they boo cause there teams are winning but not enough

Do you have any stats or a link to back up that statement? As for your friends, there's always two sides to a story.
I get harassed every summer when I go see the Reds at Citizens Bank Park. Not just a little good-natured ribbing -- I enjoy and welcome that -- but my ballcap has been knocked off my head, I've been the object of foul language and shoving, and yes, beer has been dumped on me in one instance (an usher was watching and threw the guy out ). The beer incident happened several season ago ... when the Reds were losing by about six runs.
This past year may have been the last; I'd rather drive the nine hours to Cincinnati for a weekend to watch a game. I'm not giving any more money to the Phillies organization.
