(It should be noted another very promising young player, 18 year old Taylor Fritz*, gave Federer a tough match at the other Wimbledon warm-up tournament Federer played this year.)

Zverev is starting to separate himself a bit from Borna Coric (who is about 5 months older than Zverev) among the top 1996 and later DOB young guns on the ATP Tour. Fritz, who is about 6 months younger than Zverev, has struggled a bit after a very strong start to the year immediately after he turned pro, but I wouldn't be surprised to see Fritz make a noticeable move up the rankings himself ala Zverev (who is now in the top 30 and is a seeded player at a Grand Slam for the first time at this year's Wimbledon tournament) in the next 6-12 months.

*Fritz received a tough draw at Wimbledon, drawing Stan Wawrinka in the first round; the American youngster fell to the Swiss star in 4 sets.

You totally failed to mention Thiem. Is that intentional?

I am sure Murray and Djoker are not even thinking about the Final at this stage, and it would be wise for both of them not to be, and only thinking match by match.
Djoker is still strong favorite imo, and probably should win.
Murray will need to serve at very high percentages (1st serve), and crank up his 2nd serve to have any chance.
He would need to play even better than the 2013 Final.
Obviously his chances go up exponentially if Djoker is knocked out before the Final.
Nick Kyrgios is a dark horse here, but has a matchup problem against Murray - should they meet in the 4th Round as scheduled.
Unlikely we will see any other bolters here, and Thiem is better on clay.

Thiem is 22 years old, almost 23 YO (DOB 9/3/93), and the quoted post was basically focused on guys who haven't turned 20 years old yet. I did discuss Thiem in a follow-up post.

Well, I guess I and some of the experts were terribly wrong on Thiem making a deep run at this Wimbledon...

Murray just beat Y. Lu. Everyone has a flag next to their name when you google "Wimbledon." Why does Y. Lu not have a flag next to his name?

Because he's from Taiwan (Republic of China) and the United Kingdom recognizes the People's Republic of China over the Republic of China, and thus doesn't recognize his country of origin, thus no flag.

Del Potro beat Wawrinka. Is that worth some attention? Does he have a chance at the Semi?

That is big news, they talk about it on the Wimby site:

Resurgent Del Potro shocks Wawrinka - The Championships, Wimbledon 2016 - Official Site by IBM

Wawrinka was obviously heavily favored to win as World Number 5 and 4th Seed, but in reality is not that great on grass.
Delpo - will be interesting to see how the big fella goes, now having to meet rising French player Lucas Pouille in Round 3, who is seeded 32. (the lowest of the seeded players, but still will be tough).
Then will meet Bernard Tomic or Roberto Bautista Agut (very solid player) in R4 if he survives that, so 1 match at a time from here.
But certainly will be a Cinderella story if he can keep going in this tournament.

Perhaps even bigger news than above, Djokovic is down 2 sets to love against big-serving American, Sam Querrey:

Wimbledon 2016: Novak Djokovic in trouble - CNN.com

Sam may be just a solid journeyman as far as tennis players go, but as a huge man with a huge serve - guys like him are always exceptionally dangerous in the 1st week of Wimbledon.
Djoker was actually lucky to survive a 4th Round last year, against a similar giant and big server/ style of player in the form of South African player - Kevin Anderson.
Will be a huge upset if Djoker loses, and will open up the field, so will be watching with great interest tonight.
