Heard a talking head today say that Serena's not only the greatest female tennis player of all time, but also the greatest female athlete of all time. I dunno, was really impressed with those little Olympic gymnasts back in the 70s, Olga and Nadia et al. whose name I've forgotten.

You know, I heard some time ago that Venus was actually a better all-around athlete.

I think Tsonga has demonstrated that he is a lot more of a Grand Slam champion material than Berdych and Raonic.

Raonic is considerably younger than Berdych and Tsonga, and is still improving and his upside is much higher.
Tsonga and Berdych (along with Ferrer), have always been thereabouts, but never quite enough.
Milos will win Wimbledon at some stage imo, on the back of that huge serve, big forehand and smart volleying (under John McEnroe's tutelage).

After taking out the guy who beat Djokovic ... and then beating the GOAT ... Raonic couldn't even manage to win one freakin' set against Murray???

Didn't get to see any of the final ... but it sounds like a MAJOR CHOKE job by Raonic...

Well, Federer is probably having his worst season in about 15 years (it's not clear he'll qualify for the World Tour Finals at this point, something he's done every year since 2002), and Murray is probably playing the best tennis of his career this year. IMO Murray would have beaten Federer fairly easily had Federer beaten Raonic. Also, Raonic probably had some nerves playing in his first Grand Slam final. As it is, he did force two tiebreak sets and was only broken once in the match against Murray.

It wasn't a choke job. Murray is ranked higher than Raonic for a reason. Beating Sam Querrey and a nearly washed up Federer wasn't some indication that Raonic was supposed to steamroll the rest of the field.

Not a choke job he just got beat by one of the best returners ever. He made his beast of a serve not count. Murray is looking in the best form of his career.
