Electrical engineers, and students, should be familiar with the name. The Nyquist sampling frequency, criterion for control system stability.

Nyquist is named after an NHL hockey player named Gustav Nyquist. He plays right wing for the Detroit Red Wings.

Congratulations to Nyquist who by winning The Kentucky Derby yesterday won his 5th Grade 1 race and remains undefeated at 8-0.

Nyquist is a veeeery early 5-7 favorite to win the Preakness.
Exaggerator and Lani are the only other derby horses going to Pimlico as of today.

Nyquist was very impressive in the derby. Poised to take down the coveted triple crown.

It looks like the Preakness may be a right mess!

Anyone know if Nyquist likes to run in the muck?

No need to wait on the post draw tomorrow or the changing odds or the weather.

Nyquist will finally be beaten by Exaggerator. We'll do the same as last time. Nyquist to win, Exaggerator to win and a few exotics which will be covered if either of those horses win.
Exaggerator loves the mud.

Nyquist wins the Preakness.

Exaggerator will have his work cut out for him as he trails the field in what is sure to be horrendous conditions. I'd rather bet a horse that is toward the front, especially on a sloppy track.

I have not decided yet if I want to place a bet. Putting Nyquist on top in a 50 cent triple key interests me, as does betting him to Place.
